The Museum has many interesting displays from nursing caps and uniforms to medical equipment used during the early 1900’s. Many of the items are from personal collections and are accompanied with wonderful stories. Schedule a visit to see the artifacts firsthand.
Tours of the Museum of Nursing History may be self-guided or docent led. Guided tours may be scheduled by appointment with Jeannine M. Uribe uribe97@nursinghistory.org or at 215.681.7367. Self-guided tours are available at the Museum’s sign-in lectern in the St. Benilde lobby.
The fee for a guided tour is $10.00 per person, $5.00 for student and seniors age 62. An average tour is about 1 hour. Payment is by check or PayPal. There is no charge for self-guided tours. Donations, of course, are always welcome.
The Museum of Nursing History at La Salle University is in St. Benilde Tower- Please take note of the Germantown Dispensary etching at the entrance. Parking is available in Lot K.
